Proper heating for a corn snake?

Just use enough bedding so the corn can burrow but not so much that the heat pad would need to work harder to reach a desired temp.

I have like two - three inches of aspen in there. Is that good?

How much exactly? I give my corn an inch of bedding.

The more bedding you give, the harder the heat pad will work, resulting in a hotter spot where the heatpad touches the glass/plastic.
