Another good and cheap hide is a clay pot (you can buy them at Walmart) with a hole cut in the side (smooth the edges though so it doesn't harm your snake)

These plain ole cheapies that only cost a couple bucks:

I use these. I don't cut holes in em though. If you hit them just right, they split into 2 perfect halves, takes practice though lol
