Re: Which one of your snakes packs the strongest punch?

These is a tough one for me. My big 15 lbs Jungle Carpet has actually broke the plex glass on two different cages striking at food so hard. On more than one occasion i didn't let go of the rat fast enough and she ripped it in half. But for pure force and power in their strikes my Bloods and Yellow Anaconda tie. But hands down the one with the strongest punch is my Borneo. He as hit food so hard he knocked his whole cage off the shelf a few times. I now hold on to the cage when feeding. An this is 4 foot cage. He beheaded more rat than i can remember. Plus i never had a snake leave such a big and deep bruise as the time he nail me in feed mood.

The MBK for attitude - she's only about a year old but she will practically climb out of the tank and rip the feeder off the tongs before I can lower it down to her.

The big boa gal for sheer power - at least she waits until we get the feeder down to her.

Man Bloods sound intense. Lol this is the first time I've heard anything about snakes breaking cage doors and knocking enclosures around.

Yea, they're pretty intense indeed. Probably depends on the individual snake as well but mix a good feeding response with the sheer muscular power of one of these guys and it gets kinda crazy. I sure do make an effort to ensure the proper temp of her food; definitely don't want my hand mistaken for a rat.

You hand feed them? Crazy. I use tongs even for my baby snakes.
