@GlyKon That's what I have read too. Seeing how I am allergic to bee's, that is my main concern. But I do have an EpiPen in the house just in case. I would like to handle at some point, but that's down the road.

that is why I 1st came here few years ago, one site would say this, another would say that, the 3rd one would say the other 2 are wrong..its just easier to ask on here and someone with knowledge and experience can lead you in the right direction, rather than sifting though 1.3 million search results on Google, and if you don't want to answer repeated questions, then why are you on a forum?
I know i dont know much, but i will answer the same question everyday if I can help educate some one on snakes, or any other animals.
im getting on Friday and pretty excited!

The venom is different from a bee sting, you may be allergic you may not, only way to find out is the hard way unfortunately. Scorpion venom also works differently to a lot of venoms, most venoms you will eventually build up a tolerance to the more you are exposed, however scorpion venom gradually breaks you down each time, so each sting is worse. I've only been done 3 times from emperors, the first time the finger that was stung was just a little numb, the second time the hand went numb, third time it was practically my whole arm, i am a bit more cautious with them now.
They do get to quite a decent size, adults can be around 6 to 7 inches when full grown. The exo terra 18inch cubes is a decent size for a couple, one adult will be fine in that.
Deep substrate around 3 to 5 inches is best, allowing them to burrow and dig, spider life (if you can get it over there), is really good stuff for them, if not, top soil would work fine.
Heat wise, a gradient of around 75 to 85 would be fine, and humidity you want around 70 to 85%, higher for younger scorpions who moult more frequently, and the lower end for adults.
