Re: Boa shedding question

I was thinking the same thing. :-( As I recall, though, she had him tested on that issue before -- Dinosaur, what were those results?

Fingers crossed that it is not permethrin-related.

He didnt show any toxins in his system today. Vet said he will do a more indepth look into his blood work but no mites, or skin irritations.

Re: Boa shedding question

My boa did this around the 1.5 yr mark. First when I got him he had pretty bad mites so he went into shed took nearly three sessions to get them off, went blue during this, I wasn't expecting it so soon so didn't keep the humidity high enough, he had a bad shed, there was old skin stuck all over him, soaked him loads of times got most of it off and then went blue again, hasn't done it since, that was all in a period of a month, now sheds monthly.

Re: Boa shedding question

Glad to hear the tests were negative and the vet saw nothing. Hopefully this is just a temporary oddity and will pass after this shed.
