I would say they're quick and flighty, but I wouldn't call them aggressive.

My father lived in Okinawa back in the 60s, but all he said he saw were water snakes.

Sea kraits are beautiful animals. They have by far the most potent, toxic venom of any reptile, from what I've read. Really pretty colors though.

I've read that, too. My husband's question is- from a zoological standpoint would they fall under dangerous sea life or venomous reptiles?

I think they are both. They are venomous reptiles, but they are only a danger in the water.
