Question for you guys.. What do you think the best base to keep them on is? I have them on cypress right now because that was all I had in the house. I am going shopping today and can get some other stuff if there is something better.

I keep them on paper towel when they are babies and then change them to plantation soil/ coco fibre when they get a little older.

Hrmm.. I would rather not go to paper towels but if that is best for them I will. Any other suggestions out there?

Yeah paper towels aren't really nice to look at. But it prevents them from ingesting substrate when they are so small. If you really don't want to then the coco fibre is the next best thing.

A lot of them average for $1000-$2000 depending on coloration.
