Re: Scared for my boa
Sorry buti cant see how just treating the snake and not the enclosure would ever get rid of ALL the mites as they are continually layingg eggs in the enclosure.
How many times/how long did you rinse and repeat for before yours were clear?

obviously you have to clean the enclosure as well, i didnt realize i had to walk you thru it.
imo i dont care how safe people say it is, the fact is its active ingredient is a harmful neurotoxin and i will not have anything to do with it near my animals, and i will also let people know this info as well , its up to you what you want to use, ivory soap works, nix works , pam works they all work so now its up to you whether or not you care to expose yourself and your animals to it!
to each their own
ivory soap and water will do the job, what did the old timers do before permethrin?

I really hope you aren't the same person I'm thinking you are....
First off, sorry for the turn South.
For mites, old timers used vapona on top of enclosures at one point or even in small delis cut up and a couple holes in it placed IN the enclosure. Not everything they did, was done right.
Personally, I'm okay with Nix since it's used for your human head. Just make sure it's diluted properly.

I thought you weren't going to argue? You were never one to not get the last word in
As you said, isn't the proper thread for this.
Feel free to shoot me a PM if you have the urge to get the last word in.
