Please don't take this as an insult, but you should probably get all of that stuff learned and straightened out before you look into breeding. It's good you're learning, and god knows we all have to start somewhere, but it's always best to start at the bottom and work your way up than to jump into breeding before you've got the basics down. There's plenty of time for breeding later. No need to rush it.

So it doesn't matter if every person thinks that their boa is a red tail then decides to breed and continues selling their snakes as red tail boas even though they're just common boas? Pet stores and tons of people have it wrong and need to be corrected.

i have breeded before but just normal red tails and normal pythons went to my first expo last year and really enjoyed the different boas so like i said i am not new just new get it...... its ok not taking it as an insult!

yes it does matter...but kindness over "telling" gets much further and how people attack you, Corey, here I'd thought you agree. if we run people off...people will stock to themselves and try and wing it. I don't know about but I can't see how closed communication could be a good thing for our hobbies..teaching good...correcting not so good lol

Don't take anything anyone says here as mean. If it comes across that way, I can almost guarantee you that it's just text-based miscommunication. People may correct you, but they do it only in the interest of the animals and proper information, not out of malice. There are a lot of excellent, knowledgeable people here, and they're an invaluable resource.

I'm not trying to correct anyone in a malicious manner, but in an educational way. I may have not approached the topic in a kind way but I will work on doing so. People should still be corrected on small mistakes such as this so they do not spread any false information. Like I said though I will work on how I approach people that are fresh to the forum so I do not push them away feeling people were unfriendly here.
