That is all good stuff Wayne. Instead of using wood and sealing it with that resin could you use slate/stone or even poor a concrete mold?

Just thinking less chemical and the rock/concrete would hold heat better.

How will that resin hold up under the basking light heat over time? Any issues with that you think?

Crocdoc suggested the resin, He coated the whole inside of his lace monitor cage with it, including the basking area, 13 years later it's still solid as a rock.

I used the resin to hold my corners together to make a good seal, everything else I used a polyurethane water based sealant. LOVE RESIN! LOVE LOVE LOVE
