"Jarich; hero to the worthless cause and champion of the underdog. Devils Advocate to all, just to stir up poop".
Anyone: "The sky is blue Jarich".
Jarich: "no its not, you have no proof, that's just your opinion!"

I appreciate being called a worthless cause. Makes my stay here all the better.

1) never said anything about doing anything for animals
2) I didn't pick on anyone. Drag your self-righteous illiterate behind back to page one and read my first post I even apologized I offered an explanation which I dare you to argue.
3) you're the one making a big deal out of anything.

Please don't feel that way. I didn't say these things to make you feel stupid. Anthropomorphism is sort of a pet peeve... I was wrong to bring it up though, you're right you're entitled to enjoy your animals the way you see fit.

Re: Funny things my snakes do
I like this forum because it hasnt fallen prey to the normal nonsense that so many other forums do where every noobie gets picked on for every single comment, thus giving them the chance to learn information that is actually important and could actually improve the lives of numerous reptiles. So yes, Mykee, I do have a tendency to champion that cause and attempt to make people think a little more about their own assumptions before jumping down others throats for their own. I do not ever do it to stir things up, quite the opposite, in an attempt to keep the peace and allow new people to feel comfortable in posting and learning more.

"Thank you" isn't an emotion, but a verbal articulation of a higher through process, so your comparison is invalid and irrelevant.

If you don't like it, leave the thread instead of hanging around bitching.

Re: Funny things my snakes do
Easy now tiger, no need to start calling names. Youre normally a pretty rational person on here. My apologies for perhaps coming on a bit strong with this subject. Its one that has been done over and over on numerous threads and actually had a thread dedicated specifically to it. Im not looking to get you all worked up, just looking to stop the constant barrage of people being harassed for their beliefs by those who merely have opposing beliefs.
Please feel free to look over the thread dealing with reptiles and emotions. If you have actual research to contribute, it would be great. However, as was evidenced by that thread, it is pretty much just the same conjectural evidence used by both sides of the argument.

Thats what agitates me. You've SEEN my posts. I AM rational coming here and accusing me of a) jumping down someone's throat, b) being inexperienced is unfounded
I do NOT beat up on people for fun. I can count on one hand the number of times I have been involved in drama and have fingers left over.
We all have opinions and I gave one in my first post. The OP was welcome to argue it which she did and I rebutted and so on. You did not need to escalate it.

Re: Funny things my snakes do
I dont think I called you inexperienced, I said you have not done any research on the subject you were speaking of. I suppose my escalation was an attempt to get you to rethink the certainty of what you were saying.
You also started telling him he had no basis thinking something, when all he started this thread for was a calendar. He didnt start it to talk about whether his snake had emotions, he started it to discuss some calendar about 'funny things snakes do'.

Re: Funny things my snakes do
lol jarich. if i make a post about how cute my dog is, but im next to my dog punching my girlfriend in the face in the picture, somehow i think they will not be focusing on what the thread is supposed to be. of course people are going to nitpick what they want and focus on it. welcome to the internet.
clearly that's just a moronic example, but you get my point. when you say things that may offend people, it's certainly possible that you'll find yourself with some verbal backlash. been there. once again, i think everyone just needs to shutup more
