Ball Python Feeding Problem..

Prince Charming is roughly 4 years old. Due to lack of proper care during the crucial first year of his life, his growth was stunted. However, when he was given to me, he was eating large mice, but that was three years ago. He quit eating them, but would eat medium mice. Now he will get the medium mouse half way eaten before regurgitating it, then he won't touch it again. He did the same with the large mice. Any ideas why?

Re: Ball Python Feeding Problem..

How long has this been going on? What are your temps and humidity at? Can you post some pictures of your cage and of the snake? This info will help make it easier for us to help you.

Re: Ball Python Feeding Problem..

The first year is not "crucial" to growth. A ball python will continue to grow his entire life. Mice at any age over a month is foolish.
My guess without any further info is that your snake is not being housed properly. As suggested, provide the important info as to the temps and such and I'm fairly confident that the problem will be with that.
