treating scale rot on burmese python

I would use paper towels or newspaper. Also what type of snake is it? Does it require high humidity? If not then just a water bowl scale rot often happens from to moist of an enviroment at least thats what my reptile vet told me when I had a snake a number of years ago with it.

The title says Burmese so guessing its a Burm
