HELP! kenyan sand boa food

Hello, I am new to the forum and have just purchased a baby kenyan sand boa. I ordered frozen pinkies to feed him that were supposed to be delivered when he came, but they didn't come. I called them and the lady there said that the rodent farm was on vacation and that the mice won't come until next week, three days after the snake is supposed to eat! I want to know if I can get pinkies at any pet stores or use any substitute food.

Thanks

It will be OK to wait 3 more days. It will give your new KSB more time to adjust to his new environment.

In the meantime, please introduce yourself here: New to the forum? - sSNAKESs : Reptile Forum

Re: HELP! kenyan sand boa food

Hello! He will be fine for a while. He is a baby, but his metabolism isn't as fast as some other species so he will be fine. Petsmart carries boxed frozen pinky mice. Not sure about petco.
He may be a fussy eater, too, as a baby, so if you have any trouble hop back on here and we'll give you some advice!

Agreed, three extra days (especially after shipping) won't be an issue.
