They are beautiful but also temperamental as well. Growing up in Georgia and South Carolina I found them to be the most aggressive hot that we had.

It all depends on the snake. I have one that is very aggressive and one that is puppy dog tame. Although I use the same amount of caution around both of them.

It is so funny how mean and angry Cottonmouths and Copperheads look 24/7. Awesome snakes though man.

I'm from Louisiana and I remember the first time I ran across one at the river when I was a teen. I don't know what I did to stir it up and make it angry, but it came after me.Thank goodness it was a decent distance from me or I probably would have gotten bitten! I came really close to walking on water that day lol.

I have experience with many Bitis's. Rhinoceros Vipers, Gaboon Vipers and Puff Adders.

Feeding response is good, they normally will accept F/T. They are more of a docile viper, but not to be trusted.
