I agree with what Kaetlin said. I think there wouldn't be any actual "venom" present once they've refined it, just the pain-killing component.

I hope they can succeed in separating it from the venom, it may help a lot of long-term pain sufferers in the future.

I guess I'm very fortunate that I don't suffer from long-term excessive pain. I do have sciatica, and it's a 'pain' pardon the pun, but only when it flares up. What is the ailment that causes you to require such strong pain meds (if you don't mind me asking)? You've probably said previously on the forum but I haven't seen it.

My brother-in-law is always in extreme pain (severe scoliosis), and he is allergic to almost every medication out there The only one he can take is a super narcotic that makes him high, which he really doesn't like to take. So sad to watch him try to get through life with such pain and difficulties.

Anyway, hopefully this painkiller can be brought into the market, especially since it apparently has minimal side-effects. Maybe it can help some people.
