Gojira my redtail boa!
I picked this girl up 3 weeks ago
I didn't ever plan on getting a large snake, but after seeing the pics of her litter and knowing my 6'x2'x2' viv would be empty I figured I'd get her

She's so tiny! Not for long eh?

Re: Gojira my redtail boa!
Very pretty! They were just born not to long ago huh? I was suppose to get a couple hatchlings about a month ago but I ended up getting a couple that were 10 months old. Not exactly hatchlings. Not that I'm complaining though they messed my order up I ordered two normal Columbians but I ended up getting two salmon het albinos. Congrats on your new little girl !

Very nice Colombian boa, sorry its not a red tail though.
Way to much misinformation out there still.

Re: Gojira my redtail boa!
She may not be a red tail, but gosh does she have a beautiful one! Love her tail, particularly. I like how the red comes up from the underside of her tail as well as large saddles on top. Gorgeous new snake!

Re: Gojira my redtail boa!
Her breeder sold her as a Columbian red tail boa She had normals and hypos. It was the dots inside her saddles that caught my eye!
She was Born Aug 6th.

Jay is the resident tail color cop. He's new school. They can be terribly annoying at times

Re: Gojira my redtail boa!
Jay is well within his rights to keep pointing out that common boa's are NOT "redtails"... It annoys the crap out of me too. It's not hard to do abit of research on an animal that you may have for 20 years, and the starting point is giving it the correct name.

Re: Gojira my redtail boa!
*sighs* Common boas are just to common. I wonder why a direct translation of the scientific notation never became accepted. "Emperor Boa" has a nice ring to it.

The problem with that convention is that the average person does not know what "common boa" means. Then again, I saw a "black & white red tail boa" advertised at a pet store. I let you figure out what that means.
