I believe your fully capable of caring for a Brb but it may not be the best choice for what you want from a snake ( activity and your son being able to handle it regularly.) obviously there's the risk of bites but that comes with any snake and any size.

Oh I read them all mate, but I don't like royals or keep them so I gave my opinion on the brb instead.
