The sire is a color changer, some BHPs go through an adult onset color change and no one is really sure why. Both of the sire and dam of my breeders also went through a color change as well.

The Dam is still a regular colored BHP at this point.

I need to get better pictures of this pair outdoors soon. Talked to a buddy of mine about getting out to his place next weekend to give it a try.

Re: Baby blackhead pics!!

The adults are around 7-8ft right now but they can get 10-12 feet if fed heavy but they can have issues with fat content that cause health issues if fed too heavy.

Re: Baby blackhead pics!!

Those are some awesome looking snakes. I've always been interested in them but not sure yet. How are their temperaments usually?

Blackheads are a weird snake. I have an adult female that is as crazy as the one baby in my video. If I pick her up she is fine. Most of them are very calm placid animals and I have never had one bite me but I know some people that have got hit with feed response bites. I do have some that strike and hiss and puff like little psychos but even their strikes are with closed mouths. If you grab them in one of these defensive displays and pick them up they give up. In Australia they are recommended as beginner snakes...

Sorry I have not posted new pics, I have a ton but it is too many to deal with. I have to process them all and go through them. I had an outdoor photo session with my buddy and we each got in around 400 pictures.
