Tail Shots

Well... We have a head shots thread. One of the coolest things about Redtails is their tails. I realize there are probably more python people here but I think there are enough boa people to justify this thread Also, if you're like me and have large uncooperative models then this is a good way to show off another piece of them, lol.

This is Ivan's tail, and the real reason for starting this thread. I just adore that funky saddle with the crescent moon in it. He is just so clean and awesome from his head to his tail! <3

This is Ivan and Cash together and this picture is as close to their true colors as I could possibly get

Lets see some more tails!!!!!!

Well I can't exactly call them "Orangetails" now can I? I referred to them somewhere as normal BCI's. In this area they're all marketed as redtails

Yes I can, because that's what BCI in pet shops are commonly referred to as. "Orangetail" is a selectively bred line.

Yes, because pet shops are the end all be all of naming snakes. It's purely a marketing ploy.

Let me break this down for you guys...

Redtails = Generalization: especially for noobs who bought their first snake at a pet shop (which is where most most noobs buy them). This here is a forum on the internet where noobs frequent everyday, some of them register, some only lurk. Now from reading this thread alone they'll be educated on what may actually be a "REDtail", why mine can't be called "Orangetail", and can then actually start learning about all the different BC's out there.

Oh and BTW in the OP I said "One of the best things about redtails" not "Hey checkout my redtails" Would you like to have an argument with me about that?

That's hilarious.
It's nice to see your efforts to suport the chain petstores, rather then the herp community on setting the record straight.

Do you wish you had a red tail?
Did you get swindled in to buying a bci labeled as a red tail?

Since you say you know the difference why did you miss lable them, noob.

Where did I say Chain Pet stores?

How am I not supporting "setting the record straight", I made this thread didn't I?

Oh yeah and AND BCI being commonly sold as "Redtails" is such a gigantic issue that it's putting a nuclear damper on the Boa realm of the herp industry. OMG, WHAT HAVE I DONE????

Once again... in my OP I DID NOT say "Look at MY redtails" did I?

Re: Tail Shots

ahhhh the "common" boa constrictor. Still a beauty. it bugs me how the popularity of a pet will lead some to believe it is less amazing as a species.

Not referring to you guys of you guys, just saying though many of the most beautiful species go for granted, because they're just too "common"

Agreed! Did you happen to see my gorgeous, clean, highly colorful "Common" Boas? In the years to come, when it's hard to find anything but mutt color morphs I will have gorgeous, clean, highly colored "Common" Boas available!
