Baby Sunglow
This is my new baby Sunglow... I know all the big dollars are in ball pythons but they have just never done much for me.. I have always loved boas!! Got him from the reptile show here in Columbus.

Re: Baby Sunglow
That's a really pretty sunglow! I have to admit, I didn't like them at first, but in the last year, they've really began to grow on me. They are now on my list of "I want" lol.
Congrats on the new pickup and I look forward to seeing pics of this one growing and maturing

Re: Baby Sunglow
Wow only $250. Great deal. Very nice snake. I have an adult female and although boas have a bit more "independence" in them they are great to own. Unless your a breeder who cares where the money is. Sweet deal!!

Re: Baby Sunglow
Nice sunglow! There is still money to be made in boas. Imagine if that guy had bred two sunglows. Twenty sunglows times $250 is $5000. The trick in boas is to get a a dominant and two double recessive genes into one snake.

Re: Baby Sunglow
Ya, you have to shop around at the show here in Columbus. They have a show every month and there are always new things and new people selling. If you ask them if they can give you a better deal they normally will. He was originally marked at 275 but i asked if he could go lower. Ya, that would be some good money if you can get a full batch of sunglows. I have 8 snakes and its just because i have always loved them... I have no interest in breeding.

So what was your comment about money based on? Look for Tim Kopenhoff at the next show. He is from Ohio and has some really nice stock and decent pricing.
On a side note I will be producing sunglow het moonglow and hopefully moonglows this season .

I've been looking into getting a few things from Prefect Predator (Manny Frade) too. He's from Florida though so rarely ever at Mid-atlantic shows but his collection is absolutely stunning!

Re: Baby Sunglow
Well I am going to have to stay away from the show for a while... I built my own cages and only have room for 8 snakes and that place is like a freaking drug... I always see something else i want to get. I will most likely only go back every 5-6 month to get food now.
KORBIN5895, my comment on money was a response to you about selling a litter of sunglows at 250 a pop could make someone 5000 isn't to bad.

Not bad at all since those are easy sellers and usually go for more
