When a snake is in shed, it should always be left in its main enclosure, in my opinion, so the fact that it may be outside, out of his environment, when it really should be left alone, is another issue. =(

Not out of the enclosure but a space in the viv like a ledge so the snake can perch or maybe get closer to the heat source.

I dont take 'what a bad enclosure, poor snake, etc'
As being INFORMATIVE!!
If someone KINDLY told me that its a bad shed, eg ' i think he is having a bit of trouble, try misting him or get the humidity up' ect
That would have been MUCH better!

NOONE should have criticised that his enclosure is terrible because they do not KNOW!!!
the string is FINE!!! it looks big and long in th pic but its not!! Ge cant strangle himself on it at all!!
And yes i FORGOT to put the water bowls back in! I guess that WAS a bit careless but it was a MISTAKE!!
i DO realise that his shed was not going well (it was his first shed with me), but as soon as i put the water bowls back in and misted him, it eventually, (within 10 min) it came off INTACT!!
my lesson has been learned for the NEXT shed,
But i cant take being RUDLY criticised!!!

Just NICELY tell me what i may be doing wrong and i will listen!!

His shed ended up coming of fine, NO retained eyecaps!
And he looks beautiful thats the main thing!!!
No more to be said!!!!!!

There were a few post that were nice about suggesting a raise in humidity, substrate, etc., not to mention a few request to see the whole cage. BTW that is not a good shed, period. A good shed comes of easily and in one piece. Also the presence of water bowls alone isn't going to put the humidity where it needs to be. That shed is a result of long term improper husbandry and those pics are proof of it.

Now just to clear the air, previous post may not have been all that friendly but I didn't see anyone downright accuse you of animal cruelty. So far no one has doubted your capability or even your desire to keep this animal, just your knowledge on how it should be done. I think you should sit back, relax and learn. I'm new here too and rather impressed with how willing this forum is to help rather than attack. I don't think you're gonna find a better source of info stemming from personal experiences than right here.

Re: I'm, too sexy for MA skin, too sexy for MA skin soo sexy it's a sin!!!

Well i bought him from a snake breeder who had it given to HIM by a guy who couldnt look after him anymore and he was underweight,
And i have got him to normal weight and is going great!!

EVERYTHING i am doing with him is perfect!! Apart from the shed issue,
But i guess lesson learned and i with take proper action the next time he sheds!
I know some peopke said it to me nicely but some DID not
I LOVE and CARE for my snake, but im only human so i DO make MISTAKES! and thats what caused a bad shed in the FIRST part of his shed!!
But i toik the advice and misted him and bumped the humidity to 82% and it came off well and iv gained some knowledge in what do do in the future.

Re: I'm, too sexy for MA skin, too sexy for MA skin soo sexy it's a sin!!!

Ok everyone,
His enclosure is perfect for him, you are only seeing a FRACTION of his enclosure so i think it is VERY rude to say i am keeping him bad!!
He has TWO large waterbowls on the floor,
The string is FINE its only used to keep the cover on his light so he wont get burned,
His molt WAS a bit shaggy at the beggining cos i forgot to put his waterbowls in for a day,
But once the humidity was raised he came out SMOOTHLY!! As the last 2 pixs showed!!!!
he DID NOT and DOES NOT have his eyecaps remain in his eyes!!!
He has 2 hides!!! Which both have insulated padding in them and he DID use one at the beggining of the shed, and then came out to finish it off!!

HE DOES have climbing branches!!!! Straight ones and thick twisty ones!!!
I have bought him a HUGE outdoor enclosure with a large enlosed area and a large outdoor area but he wont go out there untill it gets warmer!!!

SO before you get all RUDE to me and CRITICISE me, THINK!!!!

I have to agree with everyone as well. There are A LOT of experienced keepers here and you should take in what they're saying and LEARN from it. Everyone is concerned for the safety of the snake, so the delivery may be brutal, but the message is important. That loose string can be a hazard and you should remove it all together, and you never mentioned whether you keep the snake on any sort of substrate.

..er, why did you take the water bowls out of the enclosure and leave it out, anyways? I would think that you'd take it out and put it right back in after cleaning/replacing the water...

Look I know it's tough to be cool about people telling you that you have made a mistake but your snake suffers when they look like that. Obviously you love your animal or you wouldn't be upset about the comments. Maybe instead of getting ugly you should be thinking about how to avoid this and make shedding more comfortable for your snake.
Next time get informed not upset.

I do love him, SOOO much!!!
And all this made me feel like I am a terrible owner! And that he is living a bad life!!!

I'm all up for information on what what I am doing wrong and what I can do to make things better, but if I am told NICELY!!! it's quite a punch in the chest to have people say iv got poor husbandry, your letting him suffer etc

Saying 'your letting him suffer' does not give me any information on what I can do to help him!!

The way ROGUE627 said it was wonderful!!!

I am quite a sensitive girl so I just need to be told calmly and nicely.

Saying your snake is suffering is just fact and no need to tell you how to fix it..... everyone else already has. You have spent more time complaining about the way you have been told rather than accepting it and bettering the situation. Forums are txt so there is no "tone of voice".
If I posted a pic of a starving skinny child and said " check out my kid" would you reply with " well your kid looks great but you might consider looking at their diet the seem just a tad underweight". No you would say " omfg give that kid food and get them to a doctor". The later being much more sound advice and you would not be worried at all about hurting my feelings. Right? The people here just want to help the snake out. The best advice you will get on this site won't always be painless. Please just accept it for what it is and don't get troubled by how it was worded or all advice may seem like a slap in the face.
Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it. So lets put this to bed and get on enjoying our/your snakes in a possitive way
