I'm disappointed that threads like these are posted with such frequency. "Help, my snake escaped!" because people don't lock their cages or forget to put the lid back on. This careless behavior could get your snake killed. Not to mention, it gives the reptile community a bad reputation. What if someone forgets to lock the cage with their burmese in it? My cages won't close unless they're locked. But if you have cage that has a lid that needs to be secured, tape a note to the lid and the cage. "DON'T FORGET TO LOCK!" or something along those lines. Even if you've never had an escaped snake yet, do it anyway. I don't mean to be unkind, but these sorts of threads are popping up almost weekly.

Fredricks I'm glad you found your snake... you got lucky.
