I really do think we got the names backward, The size difference & behaviour difference are all leaning to Littlefoot being female and Cera being male.
As for feeding time, once they are adult, they could pull almost anything in half, however, they will always be fed supervised, if it gets to be a problem, then they will get fed separated.
