I kept ghost shrimp to feed my spotted puffer, that was in a brachish tank. On time I tossed one in that was a little too big for the puffer to catch and it lived in there very happily until I tore the tank down months later. He picked at hair algae and leftover flakes.
It's cool watching them eat because you can see the food go down.
