Talking Guess what?

Boaz has gone into shed! He still has not eaten since October (have tried EVERY method of feeding too...) but I am hoping that the shed is a good sign. Keeping my fingers crossed that he will eat when the shed is over!

Re: Guess what?

If you post pre-shed pics you know that means you owe us post-shed pics later!! Looks good. Doesn't look like he's lost any weight either. Hope he eats for ya!!

Re: Guess what?

Well, I've been busy and just didn't get to do 'forum stuff' for a while. Also I didn't see the point of posting updates since they would all have said: "Boaz didn't eat again" over and over every week, and I think everyone would have gotten tired of that!

Mostly 'cuz doing other stuffs though!

Re: Guess what?

Is that a male kofa mountain locality? If so ours never ate during the breeding season either. Be glad you have a male though, the female thought fingers were food all the time.... He looks really good, can't even tell he's been fasting

Re: Guess what?

He is a beauty, even in shed! And don't worry, he'll start eating again after breeding season. All of my male snakes have just started eating again after being off feed since October ( besides my stubborn Royal, lol)

Re: Guess what?

Just after those photos were taken today I gave him a bath. I want his shed to go smoothy as possible so I'm taking care to make sure he has enough hydration at this time.

He was slightly jumpy when I first went to pick him up, but once he smelled that it was me he calmed right down and just laid there in my hands.

Re: Guess what?

With snakes that arent eating it is usually best to just leave them be rather than handling them
