Mayhem the carpet
Without further adieu, I present to you... Mayhem!
He's musked me, he's bit me, but I don't care, because I love him
He's a 50/50 coastal x jungle carpet python (and yes Shaun, both parents are pure).
Pics obviously don't do his beauty justice, but you get the point.
When I just got him

When he got home (see the difference in colors? He shed in the car home!)

Ask and you shall recieve
Temps: basking= 90, warm end= 85, cool end= 75, Humidity= 55%
He has 4 hides, paper towel substrate, and 3 perches It's changed a little since this photo but not much.
I'm building a new one soon.
(right now he's chilling in the little sour cream tub in back left)

Re: Mayhem the carpet
nice carpet, eli! you'll more and more why they're my fav
A suggestion if he's nippy (and if he isn't for that matter), try getting your hands on a front-opening PVC cage. They hold humidity well, provide more security, and *all snakes but especially arboreals are alot less comfortable with being picked up and taken out from above, rather than their level.
congrats, enjoy him, getting a carpet was awesome taste

Thanks for the advice And yes I'm going to start making a custom enclosure for when he outgrows this one.
