Snake Waterbed Project

Hello all. Just got flooded out of my condo and decided to raise my bed to accomodate my 4 foot Colombian Red Tail Boa which will grow to at least 10 feet.

I have already had bed raised by 1 cinderblock and will add another to raise it by about 16 inches.

Water temp is kept at 98 degrees and the height will make cleaning up after snake manageable.

Bed is on tile and I will add linoleum to the area where the snake will be. I already added two additional spines running from head to toe inbetween the main spine and the edge of the bed.

Working on basking area and lighting setup now.

Any advice?

Re: Snake Waterbed Project

Why is the water heated? What are you actually trying to do?

secondly, think you can post a couple pictures so we can get a better idea of what you're trying to do?

Re: Snake Waterbed Project

The only issue I see is that waterbeds eventually burst... a snake under the bed would be a sitting duck if that ever happens.

ya thats what i was thinking my buddy used to have a water bed. Used too.
Also wondering if id trust putting my bed on cinder blocks with a snake underneath, pictures would help clear things up.
