Honestly, I think he was a misinformed stubborn person.
I know a lady exactly like him, she will be your best friend in the world, until you disagree with her, then suddenly she's getting charged with disorderly conduct.
It's a mental disorder that's not really all that rare.

Re: Who says snakes can't love!
ha ha, that's what I was getting at Wayne, you just put it into words better. you should see some of the people that come into my work. I work at the university I attend, and some of the smartest people in the world seem to have that disorder.

There is a woman I know right up the street, she got mad at me because some dust from my property blew over to her property, so she came charging over here, trespassed and just unloaded a bunch of verbal harassment.
I had her "spoken to" by the police, within days I had Children's services here on a complaint that I mistreat my kids, a few days later animal control stopped by, then it was code enforcement.. You get the idea.
She went as far as writing letters to the editor of the local paper, she even tried to sue me. (I won, No lawyer needed) The court date was hilarious!!! the judge had to gavel the bench many times because the woman kept shouting out of turn.
Her claim was that my dust has lowered the value of her home. Newsflash, we are an agro community, no dust laws here.
The world is full of frikkin weirdos.

Re: Who says snakes can't love!
At least you know who your neighbors are. I've seen my neighbors only once, don't know their names, and don't know anyone else who lives in the apartments around me. Kind of weird

Well, I'm not exactly "innocent", after it was all said and done, I bought a new leaf blower just to torment her.

Re: Who says snakes can't love!
I know all my neighbors, most of us are retired military and get along wonderfully. But there is always that one that is ALWAYS around and whining about their life. Those are the ones that aggravate me to no end. Normally, I love having a cup of coffee on my front porch while reading a book (I get up at 0430) but had to stop because one neighbor decided that since I was outside I wanted company....every morning...
I Love the pic of your son testing the leaf blower. That's awesome!

Re: Who says snakes can't love!
Best one ever, I took a broom and swept the dirt, collected a 5 gallon bucket of talcum fine dust.
Store it until winter, push leaf blower into bucket and squeeze trigger.
911 - How may I help you
Woman - Wayne is making dust
911 - please repeat
Woman - my ****** neighbor is making big dust clouds/
911 - Mam are you drunk right now, are you on drugs
Woman - why would you say that to me?
911 - did you not notice the foot deep snow out there.
Woman - I don't know how, but he's making dust
911 - go take a xanax and sleep it off, Bye Bye.
