Wow....those are some gorgeous snakes and I would love to photograph them also, so I envy you, lol !!! I would probably use a zoom lens though, don't know if I would be that brave even though I always feel more brave with a lens in front of me!!! I did photograph a Momma grizzly and her two cubs in Yellowstone last year from about 20 feet away and survived so maybe a cobra is next on the list!

it's very brave to be that close to them,you are also very lucky to be able to see them in their native surroundings
