Well, the Tree Boa designation is a bit of a misnomer, but it helps distinguish them from their terrestrial counterparts. They're just as happy on the ground as they are in the branches. While they do drape themselves over branches at times, they will also curl-up on the ground in the open. They're very casual snakes, comparable to a Carpet Python's attitude more than ETB/ATB or GTP.
