If we plan out something for next summer, it would give 10 months to plan.

We do have a small airport about 20 miles away.

Canadian border is 2 hours north.

Well, Stephan, maybe if you weren't a secret agent/survival expert posing as an easy-going, perpetually-stoned-looking Canadian, your passport wouldn't be flagged.

And Wayne, what's the three-letter code for that airport?? I'd LOVE to try and make it out, so I'm gonna start looking up prices now just in case.

As always Wayne amazing pictures. The whole idea of a sSnakSs get together sounds sweet. I got my sleeping bag ready. I just got to get a new tent. How's the fishing?

Skip the sleeping bags and bring a hammock bro, or break down and make one!

it was a Paleozoic Era sea, the life was simple multi cell sea creatures.

The rich gas deposits are from huge deposits of algae and microscopic life that got buried and decomposed.

So no Dino fossils.

The massive salt vein runs from New York state all the way to Canada.

Finger Lakes, New York | Geology | Salt Mines and Brine Wells

when the water all evaporated, it left behind the salt.

My god it's absolutely stunning! I never would have imagined a place like that could exist in New York.. I thought it was all buildings.. I'm sincerely glad to be proven wrong, the world needs more beautiful places.
