But i looked around and other websites say different.. The basis of my statement was on first hand accounts from my mother, that's what i believe, regardless id still go to the hospital if bitten hahah.

i'm all for you loving herps and wanting to learn, but i don't agree with you keeping hots. and yes, i feel comfortable making that statement without even knowing you. your logic is hazardous to yourself and anyone else that may enter into your dwelling.

Im often exposed to hots in my profession and have on multiple occasion chosen to handle them to limit exposure to my team and I do have a small amount of experience helping a friend with his hots is ther a reason you are so against it

not at all. what i'm opposed to, is some young kid getting a hot snake FIRST, and then having some indian guy come over to his house to show him how to 'handle' it. does that seem right to you? recipe for disaster.

i was just using your silly logic against you. did you see how i did that?

by the way, a bullet is a bullet. all calibers can cause death. just like all venomous snakes can cause death. are you learning anything yet?

anyways i dont mean to be negative, but in the end i dont care if you agree with what i do or not, your words are meaningless to me on the subject. If you have any "actual" advice other than assuming i shouldn't, have an animal, then id listen as long as its not about firearms... not to bright in that area i can see.. With your logic i would guess your against those to, there must be a strict code people have to adhere to in order to own one according to "YOUR" standards.

yes. not only that, but it should take YEARS of experience before one should even think of owning a hot. and even after that, it still isn't a good idea. in your situation you come across them during work. that is completely different.

i used to own hots. lots of hots. i smartened up and got rid of them all, even the rear fanged hots.

Maybe it just time to give up on this forum as the amount of aggression seems to be rising and rising, i always thought this community was going to be passionate about the care of reptiles not abusi e to each other - that helps nobody at all
