Re: Hognose Setup Construction - Good?

I would suggest getting a shallow but larger water dish. My hoggie loves to get into her water and when I first got her I had a water bowl similar to yours and she could not. Also I think eventually you will need a bigger tank when your snake gets older/bigger. Other than that though it looks great! Your hoggie is gonna love that skull, I have a smaller one that is similar in my snake's tank. And I hope those cacti are weighted towards the bottom cause from what I have seen of my own snake yours might try to "climb" them.

Ahhh. Well I'd expect a 15g - 20g upgrade in the distant future eventually. Certainly wouldn't expect a full grown hoggie to stay in a tiny little 10g.

I got such a tiny dish because I'm kiiiinda expecting it to be a baby, but I've always got back ups incase it's just not the right kinda fit, can always use the tiny dish for something else.

The cacti are weighed down with rocks, and even if their not, I've got museum wax. Put a small layer on the bottom, push it against the glass and it's got a pretty solid hold, should the rocks not be enough weight.

I almost went with a 'cow' skull but the bottom opening wasn't open enough for me to get ahold of a hiding snake, should it be feeding time or something. Would of loved to get the Triceratops skull instead, but I've never seen our Petsmart with it in stock.

And here's the hide I'm planning on getting soon.~
