I am not sure exactly where they live or any such thing. I told them they need to seriously reconsider whether snakes are for them, and whether they can care for their animals. If you don't have the space to individually house snakes, don't get more. If you can't afford veterinary care and testing if things go wrong, don't get snakes. Same way you wouldn't get a dog if you couldn't afford the vaccinations, don't get a snake if you can't afford the potential costs. I told them that and hopefully it will sink in. I also haven't been talking to them since I heard about the snake eating those other snakes. I chewed them out about improper housing and unnecessary deaths and how they should never get more snakes if they cannot afford to house them or don't have the space. If I hear of any more negligence on their part, I will have to try to turn them in. Unfortunately, animal control in PA doesn't do much in the way of protecting reptiles. Unless there is some sort of public danger, they really don't care. It's sad, but we herpers are better off trying to police each other.
