I am thinking about switching from glass tanks to plastic containers for more space and organization. I know a lot of the under tank heaters say not to use on plastic and I have been looking at heat tape a little bit. I was wondering what all my options are for heat for the snakes. If heat tape is my best option, I am not sure how exactly to set it up/wire it. If you have any suggestions on that also, that would help.
I use heat pads for all of mine. They're pretty much the same. Just be sure to use a thermostats with which ever one you chose and you'll be fine.
The bold part in the above quote is the key phrase. Heat pads are ok if you have a few animals but you still need a thermostat. Heat tape works really well for rack systems.
i use flexwatt for all my tubs and never had one burn, just need to buy a Thermostats because the flexwatt can get really hot with out one.
Did you wire it yourself or did you buy it wired? Thats pretty much my main problem. Iv heard a lot about it and almost decided to for sure go with it but I dont know what I need to get it all set up or how to wire it. It seems really complicated.
