I would like to present our website. It could save your life or the life of somebody you know. If you haven't heard of it, it is the Ontario Antivenin Bank. Our site is located at
Ontario Antivenom Bank We are a non-profit organization that has been up and running for over 10 years.
Our mission is to provide antivenin to venomous snake bite victims in Ontario. Our service is powered by donations only. On our website, we have put a document at the bottom that we would like you to fill out. You will notice that it can be submitted anonymously. Feel free to do so. After we receive the form we will send you a number. This is all covered on the website.
Our goal is to have all the types of antivenin on hand needed for all of the species kept in captivity in Ontario. That is why we need the list of the animals you have.
The bank will also accept donations in other forms, such as skill donations or your time donated. Anything you can do to help is always appreciated.
So how may we be able to help the non-venomous hobby in Ontario? We will help by keeping the bite victims out of the news. We all know that when a snake makes the news (venomous or not) it all puts pressure on politicians and law makers to ban all reptiles or propose some sort of ban.
