Never thought it would happen, but...
Well, for a person who always professed not to like corns, I find it rather ironic that I'm now the proud owner of 1.1 snow corns LOL. It's all Marisa's fault too (and I'm sticking to that story!)... if she hadn't posted her gorgeous last baby from last year for sale, I wouldn't have fallen in love with him and decided I needed to have him... and of course once that happened, I couldn't NOT get him a girlfriend. LOL. So... it's all her fault But, she's forgiven, because he's just awesome Maybe corns aren't so bad after all... lol. (Did I just say that? lol....)
First, here's the female -- bred by Darwin's Oasis, and picked up by a friend of mine for me at the TARAS show last month She's also het for stripe... She was one of those slow starters, so she's definitely got a lot of catching up to do... but she's a little eating machine now, so I'm sure she'll be getting huge in no time In general, I like to pick "original" names... but as soon as I saw this girl, the name Galadriel popped into my head (yes, I'm a LOTR fan )... so, Galadriel she is
And, here's the male -- after naming the female, I decided I'd might as well stick with the LOTR elf theme... lol. So, meet Legolas He's just absolutely awesome -- I love his colours!!
(This one shows his colour well)
(You can really see the size difference here between the 2 -- crazy to think that they're the same age pretty much!)
Thanks for looking guys!
Jen

Yay! He looks so good! I love that corn! I am glad you got one of my babies Bowels, especially that one. It's nice to have a few to watch grow and see updated once in awhile.
He was actually a late starter too, and didn't take his first meal for a good month + if you can believe that. LOL.
The female is sweet too. I am sure they will make lots of nice snows for you...corns rule!

Gorgeous snows and great photos. Welcome to the world of corns - they are addictive. Marisa - is that the male that used to be Wrinkle?? If so, great to see he has grown up to be such a beauty and that he is going to still be around so we can see updates on him,

Thanks Jeff!
Marisa -- don't worry, you'll definitely be getting updates. LOL. And apparently she was just a little more stubborn than he was... the breeder said that for the first 6-7 months, she would eat once, and then not eat for a month or so, and then eat again once or twice, and then stop for another month... craziness. But, she's eating like clockwork now, so she should start catching up to him in no time And thanks again for such a gorgeous snake

Mary- Nope. Not Wrinkle but he is doing well with a nice family! The one above hatched out in 18th place out of 19. He was really fiesty as well and had to be started out on live. The one above also has more color than my roomates pair from the same clutch.
She'll catch up in no time Bowels!

Actually, you're wrong Marisa, you're a horrible mother! Not knowing where your kids have gone!! LOL.. The one pictured above is one of the ones i got from you at the Totally Pets show back in September.. The one you brought to the Show in April, ended up being a female, so i kept her and sent a male out to Jen! Apparently you don't listen very well, seeing as we went over this the day you and Grizzley Adams came over.. LOL

Jen, I can relate. I bought my first pair of corns on a whim... I had the exact change in my pocket right before I left a show and thought "What the heck? If I don't like them, I'll give them to my brother in-law.".
They'll grow on you.... especially when they are THAT beautiful.
The same thing happened with ball pythons. I bought a pair just to see what the fuss was all about.... now I have 30! lol

Thanks guys!
I have no doubts that I'll be getting a few more... when I was looking around for a female to pair the male up with, I came up with a bunch of different projects that I'd like to get going with corns... lol. The problem is going to be restraining myself... I LIKE them, but I don't want them taking over my house I need room for other snakes too... lol. But at the very least I'm sure I'll grab another female or 2, of a couple different morphs... we'll see
