Live or fake climbing/resting tree for snake?

Hi, I was planning to make a PVC snake tree for a corn snake which I found some online tutorials for. But I was wondering if instead I could get a small live or fake tree (like 4-5' tall) to keep inside the house for this purpose instead.

If you are going with PVC then make sure to cap off all the pipes. I made the mistake of not capping some pipe and I had a snake get stuck in it. It was quite nerve racking cutting the pipe off of the snake with my dremmel.

You can also use live trees, or make a tree out of wood. Live plants tend to not do well within enclosures, it may be better to construct a wooden "tree" and let pothos climb up it if you want to use a live plant.

Thank you! If I get (or make) a tree it would definitely be outside the cage, since it would be pretty large. By "house" I meant our house not the snake's house!
