Exclamation Need help!!! Eastern kingsnake hatchling

Two weeks ago I found a VERY tiny eastern kingsnake in my driveway. Seems to be smaller than many hatchling photos I’ve seen online. I am looking for any advice for proper care of the animal. Her name is churro and she is very docile and sweet. My main issue seems to be feeding her. I have tried tiny baby crickets twice, she tracks them, but doesn’t eat them. I have her in a small tubberware currently, and my local pet store told me she’d be fine at room temp. Is this true? Or do I need to go ahead and invest in a heat pad? I’m going to attach photos to show how very small this baby is.

Why would crickets work? Who would suggest such a thing?

Honestly, you should just let it out and it can be a meal for another animal if it doesn't thrive. Otherwise some live baby mice could entice it to eat.
