Well I have a Male that's a tad over 6ft and his thickest part of his body is a bit thicker than a large rat. It does leave a decent bump though. He is around 4 1/2lbs to 5lbs. I figured when I do feed XL rats I could rotate rats and 1lb rabbits to balance cost and carry the diet.
You could also consider chicks as a varying food source, fyi.
