Reticulated python tongue problems

Hello everyone! New to the forum and can’t wait to check everything out! Anyways I have this 6 month old reticulated python and he has been fine up until the last week. For some reason the tips of his forks are rolling/balling up. His cage temps have been 88F hot side and 76F cold with humidity around 50-70%. He still eats and moves around fine. But the other day he wouldn’t stick his tongue out at all so I soaked him in a warm bin with water and it helped a good amount but his forks are still rolling and even though he doesn’t have any bubbles in his mouth or wheezing I’m still worried and suspended his food. I will be taking him to a vet next week to be safe. If anyone has any ideas of what this is that would be awesome! Thanks! There will be pics of when I first got him and his forks are fine and new ones with them rolled.
