125 Red Tail Boa Enclosure

Looking for some tips on making a top for my glass 125 red tail boa enclosure. The tank has no trim so I am am having some trouble figuring out a way to keep a top locked down. Any suggestions will help.

Re: 125 Red Tail Boa Enclosure

No trim, huh? Ooh...good question on a tank that large.

I'll have to defer since I haven't dealt with an enclosure that large.

BTW...welcome to sSNAKESs!

Re: 125 Red Tail Boa Enclosure

The only thing I can think of is building a wood frame top with straps running across it to keep it down. A bit unsightly and you'd have to be sure that A the top doesn't flex B the straps are tight enough to provide equal pressure along the top.

Update, if you built a frame that fit inside the tank, hung that frame off the sides then install a frame with sliders inside that. You'd have to weigh the frame itself enough so that it can't be moved or strap it down.
