Burmese python not eating...

Hi, I have a female albino burmese python, she is about 5 and a half months old and usually always eats. I feed her weekly. Last week she was in shed and finished shedding yesterday morning. Today I tried to feed her and she seemed interested in the rat (small) but did not take it, just went up to it and flicked her tongue at it. She actually seemed much more interested in my hand, and when I used tongs, she still wasn't interested in the rat. She has not eaten for 9 days now. I tried warming up the rat but she still wouldn't take it. I feed frozen thawed. Any ideas/ solutions as to why this is happening? A quick response would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Re: Burmese python not eating...

9 days isn't anything to worry about. What's the husbandry? Size of enclosure, temps, humidity, etc...?

Great news! I just figured something out!I tried boiling the rat so that it gave off a smell and then cooling it off and offered it to her... she took it in a second!
