Gross. Ever get that thing near me I'm stepping on it.
step on it? pfft. that thing is as big as my foot. id rather set it on fire and run away lol ... but i do like the blue cobalts or whatever.. would never touch it or go near it but the pictures are pretty. IMO it it has more than 4 legs, i ain't touchin it. that being said, i always say i would love to have one if i never had to open the cage and i could seal it shut and just watch.
lol theres lots of people who say the same thing about snakes, randy
Trollbie; i can't tell from those angles if it is definitely a female. If you could take some pictures of the side profile of her front legs that would help. Males have a 'spike' on the inside of the front leg at the joint second from the body (highest point of the leg?) to help them keep the female at bay when mating. Males will also have a bulb at the tip if their pedipalps. which they normally keep tucked up. This will make their pedi[alps seem enlarged and big compared to a female.
Lastly, if your gal sheds and you take photos of the inside of her abdominal shed, you can sex them via the gonopore (guides online)
Congrats on your new lady

Yeah and I hate people that say that about snakes but spiders....spiders.... Those indians in the jungle that eat them, may they continue eating them...
Wise words. If Manny wont touch them neither will I.

Face your fears! My mom in law would turn pale jyst looking at at a picture of a snake. But I was living in the ghetto and she was too worried about me so she allowed my snakes in her house just so I wouldn't have to live in the ghetto. The rules were that they stay in my room and she will never have to see them. 2 weeks later she's holding them like a champ
To be honest, my palm would get all sweaty and id get nervous at first holding chula. But she's so mellow and doesn't show signs of aggression so I got used to her quick.

Very nice girl. I love watching them walk around. I went through desensitization with rose haired. I was terrified of all spiders with full anxiety attacks at the site of one. It took two weeks but really worked. I still can't hold a T but I was able to care for 7 of them without fear at the zoo. I've seen them rear up and the site of the fangs was enough to keep me from holding them. I would be afraid that I would panic and throw and/or drop it. I'm also ok with spiders in my house now, except for black widow.

That's great! I hope I'll never see Chula's fangs while she's outside of her enclosure haha.
I'll stick to Chula for handling, but I would love to get a Gooty Sapphire as a display spidey!
