i'm glad it made you laugh and as for the post about chance...i have cried so many tears over her. after every surgery i would set my alarm for every hour on the hour to check on her and make sure she was still breathing. this thread i started was to finally laugh about the snakes and not cry when the vet told me today that he thinks she is 100% better....it was the best and happiest i felt in 10 months. i just wanted to share some of that good feeling with everyone.

alot of times all it takes is an owner who will spend some time with them plus snakes think that they may be food for you. once they realize you are not out to eat them they calm down

I have been bitten twice by BP's as well, didnt' leave a mark either time.
First: Demetae was about 1 1/2 yrs old and had an RI. She was on oral baytril for 2 weeks and at the end of two weeks paid me back for forcing the yucky stuff down her throat by nailing my hand.
Second: A male I had just gotten decided I didn't need to check his cage temps and taged me when I reached past him with the temp gun.
Both times the reaction was laughing so hard my stomach hurt, they think they are so big and tuff!! LOL
On the identity crisis, I have one that my husband is sure thinks she is a Blood Python the way she eats!!
