Funny, he looks *exactly* like my BCI. I'm beginning to think they actually sent me a BCC. Guess I'll find out when he grows 4ft longer than expected, huh?

The cage is made out of wood.
On the inside, I placed tempex (that white hard foam that is being used to isolate things like houses and stuff, its very light) with larger pieces on top of it. After that I burned it down a bit so it looked nice and more natural.
Then I put 3 layers of some kind of concrete that is being used to glue tiles on a wall (i.e. in the bathroom) on top of that.
Then i painted it with spray, hung up some (fake) plants and this is the result
I will add some more green plants thursday, Im going to a pet store then which has a lot of them. I will post the result after that ok, i will probably also put my boa in the cage by then (its in a quarantainne for now untill i've seen her poo (i think its a she) to see if it looks ok).

Wouldn't be able to tell you specific locale. Head shape and coloration are all wrong for it to be a bcc. It's hard for me to really explain, LOL Someone else could do better, I'm sure

That is a great looking little BCI and an awesome cage!
You might want to toss in some extra stuff for hides. Cork bark works great and it is pretty cheap!

I agree with everyone else in that you have a beautiful little BCI on your hands. As LdyDrgn mentioned, the apeparance is very typical of a BCI... the extra-high saddle count is the first giveaway (BCC have between 14-22, BCI have 22+), the saddle shape, colour, tail pattern, and head shape are also very typical of a BCI. Although the best ways of distinguishing are scale counts and saddle counts, there are always exceptions to the rule... but I would be willing to bet the farm that you have a BCI (most likely Colombian) on your hands. An outstanding specimen at that though. You don't see too many with such vibrant tail colours and clean body! Congrats!!

The breeder has a book 'The Living Boas' written by Jerry G. Walls which says The best way to notice the difference between bcc and bci are to count saddles. back-scales and belly-scales on the shed.
These are the standards:
B.c.imperator: 22 -30 saddles (till the cloaca), 55-79 back-scales(around), 225-259 belly-scales (till the cloaca)
B.c.constrictor: 15-21 saddles , 81-95 back-scales, 234-243 belly-scales.
I think you also have to count till the cloaca with the bcc.
Acording to this 'math', the parents are bcc.
My boa hasnt shed yet so I'll have to wait and count...

On this picture you can count the saddles well. I count 21 till the cloaca, but i have to take her out to check that out 100%, but she has just eaten so i'll have to wait for that.

Sorry, but I agree on the B.c.i. prognosis.
Blunt snout, reddish saddles w\o peaks, count 21, very little speckling on the under belly. Definately a common boa.
