help

Hey all,
I have a 29G tall tank that is doing nothing. I want to make it a very nice vivarium, with plants and moss for substrate.. I also want herps in there. I'm looking for a lizard or lizards that can go in here that are a good size, nice to other herps, cheap, pretty, and nice to humans.. and not tokays... did i mention i don't want tokays? lol yea I 'm also posting this in the plant forum so lizard guys.. ignore the bottom half of this post

I want to make this really really nice, what kind of plants would fit in with my idea and what kind of moss? and where can i get all of this? thanks guys!!

Mike

You like anoles (not green)? There are many types that look great in planted vivariums, also many species of day gex are good. As for plants, its basically what you like the looks of. Most anoles/day gecks dont eat plants, but do eat fruits so you shouldnt have a problem.

Unfortunately you mentioned "CHEAP"...otherwise I would have suggested Crested Geckos...they are an amazing herp for a planted 29g vivarium. Ease of care for these little guys makes up for the initial cost IMO.

Other (some non-lizard) suggestions at a fair price:

Green Snake
Big Eye Tree Frogs
Green Tree Frogs
Flying Geckos
Pink Toe Tarantulas
Tiger Salamander
Day Gecko

ummm, thats all I can think of for now

tarantulas... are u nuts?! lol

and i want those itty bitty black adn blue or black and red or black and yellow frogs.. although i think they are poison dart frogs and will kill me but yea! .. what about some nice looking plants any suggestions? and especially moss and where to get it.. i have no idea where to get moss.. bright green moss. not sphagum.

Go to your local nursery, club mosses work great, but i dont like em. Dart frogs, may not be totaly harmless (not sure if they do have some toxins left) but when Cb they are completely harmless, as far as i know.
