Question Snake ID

My cousin put this "venomous snake" photo on facebook. She is in NC.

Definitely not venomous, I think it's actually a milk snake. Am I correct in this assumption? I'm not familiar with NC snakes.

i agree, i found something almost identical last weekend here in central NY. Nice find, hopefully your cousin let it go in peace...
