Some Suggestions Needed Plz
Hi I would like to know if any body can recomend a snake that is friendly(docile) dosent mind to be held, I would also like it to be full grown 7-12 feet nothing much bigger. I currently have a few snakes and looking to add onto my collection. I have a couple of corns and baby ball python and an adult ball python. I also have handled larger snakes like burmese? Any suggestions???

What about a columbian red tail boa? they get about 10 feet, docile and beautiful. or be a man and get a blood python

Hey Pythonian, I also am considering another Snake,all be it between an Aborial and a Blood.
So, whats with a Blood that you have to be a man?

Really nothing i love my blood to death .. it's just that they have a reputation for being quite nippy. and don't like to be handeled.. which i haven't found other than getting tagged yesterday.

I would say a boa constrictor too, either common columbian or other species. They get a nice 7-9 feet adult, some more and are quite tame for a larger snake. I had contemplated getting a burm for a while but decided against it as it's too much for me to handle.

Not really a 10-12 footer but they do get fairly large and are a thick snake. The animals i'm speaking of are Eastern Indigo snakes. Beautiful animals.

carpet pythons are good. as babies they seem a bit nippy but it doesnt hurt too bad. they have a slower growth rate and dont get real big, a bit less than your length span you put up for the jungle carpets. ours is so docile we take it to the local schools and my daughter took it to show and tell at her preschool with her dad's help. jungles are also very pretty if you get one like ours with a lot of yellow in it.

I would also suggest a carpet or a red tail of some sort. I think the Boa would be your best choice given your criteria. And there are some sweet true red tails out there other then guyan and surinam.

Right... just because it needs to be said, it's "ColOmbian Boa" they come from ColOmbia, it's a country- I'm sure you'd get uppity if someone regularly and repeatedly spelled "Canada" as "Caneda", have some respect.
... And Boa constrictor subspecies and locale specific animals are still the same species, just subgroups of that based off geography or phenotype...
Working off the size recommendations given as a maximum, childrens and spotted pythons would fit, rosy and rubber boas and quite a few colubridines that nobody bothered mentioning- Pitouphis, most ratsnakes, kings, some milks, Spilotes...

actually i was thinking colubrids but since he said he had corn snakes, figured he'd thought of that.
our jungle carpet is about five foot long and is two years old. he isnt very thick either but that is probably because he refuses rats and wants to eat four mice when he eats no matter what we "lace" the rat with. also tried to do gerbils. but other than that, he is a good eater and eats the mice in no time.

It does bother me, it's an entire nation for starters, some modicum of effort would be nice... when repeated multiple times it's not a typo...
Does correcting it really bother YOU that much?
When searching for information, the correct spelling is imperative if accurate results are to be gained, searching by a misspelled term will only return results from people as ignorant as those who do not spell it correctly to start.
